Every Heirloom Starts With a Hand

The Silversmiths

Our family is from Barahbasti, a cluster of 12 villages closely knit in Western Uttar Pradesh. The craftsmen who make our jewellery are from these same villages - some of them worked for my ancestors, and the skill has been passed down in their own families for generations, the same way our heirlooms were passed down in mine.

The Tukdi Hands

On Khwaab and Satrangi, our two flagship ghararas, every tukdi - the small individual fabric panel - is cut and joined by hand, days before a single stitch of sitaara or zardozi work begins. It's the most time a Husnaraa piece asks of its makers.
